Reasons for you to feel tired all the time

Here, are the common reasons that happen to each one of us at some point or the other.

  1. Wasteful over thinking: If you are engrossed in negative thoughts of hurt, resentment, frustration or anger at sub-conscious level than there is an excess leakage of mental energies. Do you know the current problem of the youngsters is over-thinking?

Perhaps, as older generation when we were in school we were hardly introduced to the idea of stress and insecurity. Of course, we carried the fear of passing exams but that was hardly for two weeks in a year. Our school life was pretty chilled out, happy childhood with no introduction to this word ‘stress’.

But, these days the scenario is totally changed for worse. Our kids are exposed to stress in the early school life itself. We are so stressed out each day that we are barely managing to run the show with minimum energy levels within.

The zeal, the enthu, the fun of living a life is just vanished somewhere. Most of us are living with a farfetched dream of achieving something we strongly wish to possess. In that process, what we have is also gone for toss with no joy of living.

Creating these wasteful thoughts of stress and negativity are only pushing us further from realizing our dreams. These thoughts are like energy leakages that waste a lot of our creative energies and make us feel mentally tired.

We need to keep a check on what thoughts are running in our mind. The moment we realize that we have been thinking negative, we need to take charge of our thoughts and convert them into positive ones. Initially, it is going to be tough to fight with negative thought but with constant effort you would be able to convert negative thoughts into positive ones. And, you would see that you feel energetic all through the day.

  1. Sedentary Lifestyle: Most often, you would feel tired if you are leading a sedentary lifestyle. Lack of any physical exercise often amounts to feeling tired and lazy all through the day.

Our lifestyles are such, that we hardly get time to shake our legs but remember that your body goes through a lot to help you do everything that you have been doing. So, you need to take care of yourself first. Give at least 20 minutes to your body and see how energetic it makes you feel through the day.

3. Poor Diet: Eating plenty of carbohydrates and avoiding sufficient protein and iron content can make you feel dull in the longer run. Also, a lot of people indulge in eating outside food or in eating junk food that is very harmful for the body.

You need to detoxify your body once in every 15 days to help it get rid of toxins that it has been ingesting via, food, air and water.

  1. Depression: Feeling depressed, can do a lot of harm to you. You may end up feeling tired and sad through the day. Depression is a state of mind that can be fought with strong positive thoughts. You need to get into a lot of positive self-talk with you. You need to comfort the inner child in you with a lot of positive comforting thoughts.

When you do this repetitively, the negative thoughts will become weak, become less frequent and will eventually vanish. So, be strong and fight with depression to become healthier each day.

  1. Medical Conditions: Medical conditions like anaemia, hypothyroidism, hypotension, food intolerance, hyper-allergies, UTI, pregnancy, etc. can contribute towards making you feel weak. Such medical conditions may go unnoticed for too long and may be the underlying cause of your feeling lazy and tired.

Hence, the best way to lead this life is to stay fit. There are no two ways about, ‘Health is Wealth’. Do everything possible to make yourself fitter mentally and physically. If you are fitter and healthier than everything in your life will fall in place irrespective of any situation in your life. Also, you would set a great example for your family and friends to stay health and happy always.

 

The best way to meditate at home!

 ‘Meditation’ has always been the key to a peaceful and emotionally calm mind. It helps you to dig deep inside to reach out to the hidden power that lies in each one of us.

Though, we have been hearing about mediation being the in thing, yet, we do very little of it. And, it is quite obvious for the fact:meditation

  • We are unaware of the miraculous positive changes that meditation bring in us.
  • We do not know how to practice meditation

So, let us first explore the benefits of doing meditation and then we will learn how to do it.

  • Meditation helps you to connect with the infinite power in the Universe which makes us available solutions to all the problems we have in life. There is a Universal Intelligence out there which is here to help us and our minds are continuously connected to it. The day we start meditation we start tapping the potential of that Supreme Intelligence and we are provided with all intellectual tools to get the most of our lives.
  • Meditation contributes towards making us intellectual and also sharpens our thinking and analytical skills.
  • Meditation keeps us to be calm and peaceful to ensure better health and longevity of life.
  • Meditation helps to stay focussed.
  • It also helps in developing a perseverant attitude and a strong will power.

How to do Meditation ?

Meditation is a medicine to a sick heart, it is indeed a cure for all your sufferings. If you don’t believe it then try doing it the way I suggest here!

Sit down  relax! And keep your eyes closed. Imagine yourself sitting out in nature and focus your mind on these thoughts. Bring your attention to your breathing. Slowly calm yourself further and bring your attention to your thoughts.

Imagine some white powerful rays falling on you from the sky. Let the Supreme being out there bless you with love and happiness. Affirm these statements,

 ‘I love myself’,

‘I love and appreciate all that I am doing’

‘I am at peace with myself’

‘The power of achieving (Whatever you want) lies within me.

‘I am infinite and divinely guided at all times’

‘I am divinely protected at all times’

‘I see myself achieving success in all I do’

‘I am in cordial loving relationship with my family and friends’

‘Life supports me in whatever I do’

‘I radiate perfect health at all times’

Say these positive powerful statements as many times as you can say. And, most importantly, feel these statements and believe in them while saying them.

By doing this meditation, you are allowing the Universal Intelligence to guide you at all times. You are aligning yourself to the Universal cosmic energy which then brings the most wonderful experiences to you.

Meditation can uplift your living standard to great heights that you cant even imagine. But, the basic thumb rule remains that you need to believe 100% in what you affirm. You can add your own affirmations too to make it work on your current circumstances and situations.

But, remember to use always present tense while saying these or any other affirmations and also never make use of any negative statements.

Forgetfulness has become much common these days. Each one of us suffers from it at some point or the other. Often forgetfulness triggers the fear of developing dementia or Alzheimer’s syndrome.   1. Depression: Depression results in lack of drive in doing the regular things. You may feel demotivated to an extent that you start forgetting things as doing the bare minimum is also challenging.

The phase of pregnancy is a life-turner for a woman. As people in olden times would say, it is a second birth to a mother. Thanks to epidurals, pregnancy for some has become painless but what about getting your body back to normal post-delivery.

The moment a baby is born, mother starts treating herself as secondary and in that process she gets totally ignored for a long time. When you see examples of people around you who have managed to shed all the calories and have become fit as before, you would notice that those people pay a lot of attention to self.

Beverages like smoothies, juices, butter milk, etc. fill you to make you feel fuller. Always keep a few of these beverages ready to drink and store them in refrigerators so that you can have an easy access to them when you are hungry.

  1. Give 20 minutes to yourself: 20 minutes a never a big deal. But, when we get free time we are so busy browsing our phones, laptops or watching televisions. 

It is extremely important to do something that you like. It could be grooming yourself or designing a wonderful attire for yourself or working on a new painting or could be anything.

The moment you choose to stay connected to your inner-self, you start understanding your basic internal needs. You have a better understanding of your desires and your bodily needs. And, thus you have a better control on foods and activities you eat and do through the day.

  1. Work out for 20 minutes: Aerobics, brisk walk, cycling, swimming, yoga, house-hold chores like sweeping the floor, etc. is helpful. When you are active regularly for 20 minutes in a day, you start burning all the calories that you have eaten in a day. Slowly, the body starts dissolving the fat that has already been stored in the body for very long. 

Start with just 20 minutes and then gradually push it further to 25 minutes then 30 minutes and so on. A good 45 minute workout is much needed by all of us.

Unmet mental needs: How to help yourself?

There are many mental ailments that make you crippled to handle your life smoothly. Some of the major ailments include stress, anxiety, fear, sadness and the most important is depression.

Each one of us suffers from depression at some point in life or the other. Depression is common in youngsters, oldies, teenagers and even children.

Of course, it may take a few days to a few weeks or even few months in serious cases to overcome depression. The remedy suggested is to seek psychological counselling or to depend on anti-depressant pills.

Yet, do you know with a little effort you can improve your mental health to a great extent and can say bye to depression forever.

How to work on yourself?

  1. Stop dreaming and start working: You feel depressed when you have some big dreams in life that are still unrealized. We lose out on patience and desperately want to turn those wishes or dreams into reality. 

Of course, dreaming surely gives a positive direction in life to become successful but just dreaming has never helped any one. You must dream to become Richie-rich, slim, making your dream house, heaving a great joyful family or getting your dream job but the efforts also need to be as large as your dreams.

It is better to convert dreams into your goals and then target your goals with a solid action plan. It helps you to come out of that illusionary world of dream and it helps you to stay grounded and realistic about your goals.

What most of us forget is that the power to become successful lies in the present and not in future. We are losing our precious present in dreaming about future. No, no, no! don’t get me wrong!!! ……there is nothing wrong in having dreams but it is wrong to be dreamy through the day and not work towards making your dreams come true.

If you have made the most of your present than the future will bow down to you and will be yours forever!!

If you want to dream than dream right before going off to sleep. These dreams manifest through the night to turn into realities. This is the Universal law that helps us to manifest dreams into realities.

But, when you are always dreamy about your future without making the right efforts, than you tend to be more depressive for the fact that your dreams look far-fetched to you.

  1. Turn people, relationships and jobs perfect: This world is a world of perception. You will never have control over the outside world which involve the people, the situations, relationships or jobs. But, what is in control is you yourself. 

Often, you are caught finding faults with your relationships or jobs or life. But, nothing works as per your wish. But, the one who looks for positivity in every situation is the real conqueror of the world.

The more you get pissed with things around, the more they influence you negatively. The only way to lead a peaceful and happy life is to look for positivity in every situation.

This is one basic mantra to success, peace and living a contended life.

  1. Start discovering yourself to know what a wonderful being you are: You feel depressed only when you have given the right to others to make you feel depressed.

 When you depend on other’s opinion is when you get hurt the most. And, who looks for others opinion – somebody who is not sure about himself/herself.

So, why not look inside instead of looking at this fickle world outside. Try to self-introspect yourself to discover your immense powerful strengths. Once, you have discovered your wonderful powers which are there in each one of us then there is no stopping.

There is nothing in this world that can depress you if you have the power within yourself. You will become fully thick-skinned and will turn a deaf year to what others will say.

This in real sense is a true victory as you have learnt to live this life to the fullest.

Is Air Conditioning bad for you?

Of course, scorching heat of summers and high degree of humidex makes it a compulsion to go for air conditioning all day long. Yet, certain researches believes that air conditioning may not be the best choice to beat the heat. The ill-effects may amount to dryness of skin, fatigue, contracting air-borne diseases, dryness in throat, etc.

Dr. Mark Mendell, Epidemiologist with California Department of Public health, suggested that asthma and allergies are the most common disorders due to use of air conditioning. He further suggests, that a poorly maintained or shoddily designed air conditioner can have millions of bacteria breeding in it. It reflects that polluted air of the AC’s may significantly affect your health. Though, the impact may vary depending on how your body would react to each class of bacteria.

However, there is a contrasting observation by Dr. Michelle Bell, Prof. environmental health at Yale University, that a well-maintained AC can indeed save your life from contracting many dreadful diseases. Dr. Bell suggests that air borne pollutants are kept at bay through use of air conditioners and thus one is at lower risk of suffering from cardiovascular diseases.

Despite a dilemma of whether air-conditioning is good or bad, there is a lot that is yet to be explored. But, certainly there are prominent health hazards that are known to have been caused due to air-conditioning.

  1. Fatigue: Imagine yourself shivering on your chair while sitting in office through the day! Won’t it impact your body, which has to work hard to maintain the normal body temperature? A lot of people also experience chronic headache sometimes due to over exposure to cold air.
  1. Skin Dryness: The worst side-effect of air conditioning is the dry cool air that is pumped out. The dry air hits our mucus membrane making our throat and nose dry. You may feel constant irritability in nose and throat due to dry mucus lining and it increases the probability of contracting flu and other respiratory diseases. Also, you would feel your skin and hair dry.
  1. Heat Intolerance: With the comfort of cold controlled indoors, you increasingly tend to become intolerant towards harsh outdoor heat. Your body fails to accommodate the wide fluctuating temperature variation between indoor and outdoor. This substantiates the increased number of cases reported of heat strokes and dehydration in summers.
  1. Allergies: Surprisingly, there are both positive and negative aspects reported in the case of allergies. Dr. Clifford Bassett, MD founder and medical director of Allergy and Asthma care of New York, suggests that anybody with indoor allergic tendencies may be benefitted with use of A/C. Air conditioning filters out a lot of moulds and pollens from the air thus minimizing the allergic tendencies of a person with indoor allergies.

However, on the other hand, Dr. Ferastraoaru, MD Physician, Allergy and Immunology, Montefiore Health System, suggests that using A/C can sometimes worsen the allergies. This is due to the fact that AC’s may carry the germs from cat, dog and dust which gets regularly circulated through the cold air. So, it is really important to have air-purifiers installed with A/C’s to avoid any allergic episodes happening to you and your family.

  1. Spreads infection: A/C’s circulate the same air all through the day in a closed room. So, the germs from coughs, sneezes, etc. get mingled with the air and the same air is circulated throughout. This infected air is inhaled by everyone present in that room causing infection to spread further. 

There is an air-borne disease called Legionnaire’s that is communicated easily. This disease causes very high grade fever with pneumonia and spreads very fast if you are sharing the air-conditioned room with person infected with it.

  1. Worsens the prevailing medical conditions: If you are suffering from illnesses like arthritis or any other bone related disorders, exposure to air-conditioned environment may worsen your body pains.

What can you do to overcome the harmful effects of air-conditioning? 

Air-conditioners absorb germs from the surroundings which gets circulated in the air , so you need to dust your indoors regularly to keep the germs away. Moreover, using air-purifiers can help you get the best quality of cool air in the longer run. You must also use humidifiers with sensors to maintain moisture levels which will beat dryness of skin.

The best suggestion is to try to avoid using air-conditioner in good weather conditions, if you can. Always carry a  preference for breathing fresh air that will give you ample oxygen and will be beneficial for your health. One more tip that needs mentioning here, is to keep yourself hydrated by improving your water intake. In air-conditioned rooms, there is no sweating happening so you would not feel thirsty often. You would have to force yourself to drink enough water to stay hydrated.

 

 

 

Negative thoughts: A deadly poison often ignored

Would you agree that negative thoughts are the most loyal companions of our minds. They knock in uninvitedly and stay with us till we deliberately choose to shoo them off.

These thoughts are always there in our sub-conscious mind and act like a slow killer.

1. The first damage that is happening to you is that, you are inviting such negative people, incidences or experiences yet again in your life. The law of attraction plays a key role in designing our lives. The more you think about something the more you get that in your life.

Universe never judges your feelings as negative or positive, it just captures your vibrations that are emitted through thoughts and it brings them back to you as experiences.

2. It puts the body under stress. The body receives the signal to respond to unfavourable situation (stress) and starts preparing the body by releasing stress hormones. Also, the vital functions of the body are called off as the body diverts its attention to something which it reads as unfavourable (Stress). As a result, constipation, indigestion, mood swings, depression, increased heart rate, increase blood pressure, etc. are faced when you remain in stress over a period of time.

3. Negative thoughts take you back in the past. The only moment you ever live is present- the past is gone forever and the future is yet to come. You need to live and enjoy every single moment of your life and that is actually called as living a life truly.
